PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE

Dear HIS Parents,

SCHOOL is more than a building housing students and teachers in various classrooms. SCHOOL is more than reading, writing and arithmetic. SCHOOL is a concept. It is the interaction of different people with a common focus: educating students to their highest level of ability and realizing their potential. More than educating merely based on learning content, facts, and processes, true education educates students on ways to build for themselves a successful life.

Hawar School embodies such a concept. Everyone involved in our school experiences the pleasure of working on tasks to insure students develop the tools to be successful in life. Teachers and staff operate The School, and deliver the instruction in many different subjects ranging from reading to the arts in order to promote good character and citizen.

I would be remiss if I did not also recognize our parents. HIS Parents give so much support to the school through their efforts volunteering. As a direct result of parent involvement HIS has witnessed a blossoming of a myriad of activities, student services, and community outreach programs. Moreover, the provision of equipment and materials made available to students and teachers contributes to making the school’s educational programs more interesting, motivating, and beneficial.

The School Board gives us leadership, provides us with great facilities, and avails the necessary funds to maintain and operate our great school. They encourages and empowers all of us: administrators, teachers, and support staff members alike. It is with their assistance that we strive towards continual improvement and endeavor to become the best that we can be.

We at Hawar do not seek individual credit. Our success is a result of the fantastic efforts pooled by so many other people. An eager staff, that works hard and is committed to that concept of SCHOOL, makes us look good. Without the total effort from everyone, I would not be able to appreciate and enjoy the successes that we have accomplished so far.

Another wonderful year has passed—a year of learning experiences, challenges, and great fun. We are very proud of our school, especially the hard work of the students and staff.

I would like to thank each and every one of you who makes HIS the school it is today. You are invited to enjoy reading about HIS, our students, their achievements, and activities found within this website.
