HIS Achievements

In the recent years, HIS has achieved a lot of recognition within the island. The parents and students are pleased with the overall performance of the institute. HIS always look forward towards the feedback we receive from the parents and students for the betterment of the school.

The recent achievements of HIS are listed below:

HIS-HATS Program (HIS Academic Testing Service) was established in 2016 to provide students with the convenience and opportunity of taking international standardized tests in their own school in preparation for college or university application. We started with the College Board- SAT 52244 (Scholastic Aptitude Test) exams in the year 2017-18. Today, we are proud to inform you that we are an accredited test center for ETS-TOEFL-IBT (Center STN 20730A), ACT & ACT Subject (Center 828440), and IELTS-UKVI (Closed Session).

In 2016, Hawar International School entered into a partnership agreement (B2B) with the British Council to establish a permanent venue in the school for the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) Academic test. HIS started IELTS testing in November of 2018 with 37 students, receiving an average of 5.5 to 6.0 in the band. Today, the school offers the test annually for 2 sessions (May & December), with no less than 60 candidates, receiving an average bandwith score of 6.5 and higher..

HIS has received MSA-CESS (Middle States Association Commissions on Elementary and Secondary Schools) accreditation in the year 2018-19.

HIS received accreditation from the Cambridge and introduced Cambridge curriculum for grades K-8 from the academic year 2018-19.Earlier this year, the school has implemented IGCSE curriculum for grade 9.

Hawar International School is an IB World School authorized for IB Diploma Programme. We are immensely proud of our students’ outstanding success in the IB Diploma Programme, which reflects not only their academic achievement but also their commitment, resilience, and growth as global citizens. The success of our IBDP Class of 2025 marks a historic milestone for Hawar School. This cohort achieved an exceptional score of 42 out of 45, the highest result in the history of Hawar School. This remarkable accomplishment highlights the steady progress and strengthening impact of the IB Diploma Programme at our school. These achievements are deeply rooted in the values of the IB Learner Profile with our students demonstrating the qualities of being inquirers, thinkers, communicators, principled, and open-minded individuals.
